Redheads in the Fall

We were lucky enough to have my mom come out and stay for a whole week in October. She was so helpful that I was able to catch up on rest, step in to coach one of Mackenzie’s soccer games, run a few essential errands, and gear up for the potty training tornado that touched down at our house the day after she left.

On evening we took the kids down by the river in search of quintessential fall leaves to make a wax leaf garland. Daniel slept off a milk coma in a car, while the rest of us collected a few leaves and jumped in the rest.

I melted when I saw these photos. There’s just something about redheads in the fall. 🙂

After living in Columbus 7 autumns and enjoying every second of them, this will be our last. It’s hard to believe that next summer we’ll be leaving the birthplace of all three of our children!

I will always treasure the memory of playing in piles of leaves with my beautiful Columbus girls.
